...MaKE A WiSH...

Today I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch  and the gorgeous
CoLoR THRoWdoWN ChaLLenGE palette to make a BiRtHDaY card...you can never have too many of those in your stash :)

I used the sentiment from a GReaT TaYLoReD EXPreSsioNS set -MaKE a WiSH-   Originally I was planning on paper piecing the AWeSoME cake image as my focal point...but I ended up just making a BeaDy-EyeD BiRtHDaY boy instead :)

Here's a closer shot of my SuPeR simple paper pieced boy...there were already so many busy patterns going on in that I thought a simple focal point might look better.  I embossed the white panel with a numbers die...keeping with the birthday theme..

This card might have a gender issue...I can't tell if it reads boy or girl...I think the pink makes it girly...but I put a little boy on it...hmmmm....perhaps I didn't think this one all the way through  ; /

I added double buttons, a candle, and a twine bow to accent my sentiment...lately nothing I make is complete without the button/twiney bow combo...

I wanted a pom pom for the top of my birthday hat...but I didn't have any that matched...so I made one out of twine...easy peasy :)

...and here's the envelope...

Thanks for LoOKinG!!
I hope you have WoNDeRFuL weekend!!
