I spent over three hours struggling with this Jen Schults sketch...I had the cutest paper picked out, a great stamp set, and obvs...a wonderful sketch...but I was getting NoWHeRE!!! So I went to bed and decided to try again the next day. I decided to throw this fun ReVeRSE CoNFeTti color challenge...and what do you know?!?!?! I had the whole thing laid out in 15 minutes...sigh...funny how that works :)
So using this sketch and color combo...I made this fun card...
It is tacky to say I LoVE this??? Is it self-tooting a horn? Sorry then...but I LoVE it!!! I love the colors, the patterns, the little metal heart clip, and especially that MiXeR!!! I SooOOoOOoo want it for my kitchen!!! :)
Here's a closer view of the paper pieced mixer. It's from a GReaT TaYLoReD EXPreSSioNS set...WhaT'S CooKinG...There are lots of great images in this set, but this mixer just fit PeRFeCTLy...
I used DiaMoND GLaZE on the mixer bowl so that it looked like glass (I colored with a copic first to get the aqua tint)...this is another reason I LoVE this card...So CuTE!!!
Since I have the day off, I'm going to go and work on this week's MoJo MoNDaY sketch...I always love those!!
Thanks for LooKinG!
Oh I can totally relate!! Going to bed paid off cause this is just fabulous!! You rocked both challenges :) Thanks for playing along with Deconstructed Sketches!!
ReplyDeleteTOOT TOOT - I'm tooting for you!! This is AWESOME! Love your paper piecing, and the details, like the mixer bowl, and the little metal clip - the buttons...it's all awesome :). Bravo!!!
